In November 1853, a group of dedicated Chicago Masons met to establish a new lodge -- Garden City Lodge No. 141 U.D. The lodge was formally chartered at the Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge of Illinois in October of 1854. This is the charter under which our current lodge, Old Glory Lodge No. 141, operates and we celebrated this milestone in our lodge's history in May of 2004 with lodge rededication ceremonies. On May 22, 2004 this special anniversary was celebrated at a brunch with a formal rededication of the lodge by the Grand Master and his officers. with nearly 125 members and friend in attendance.
